The eclectic architecture of Hangzhou in the 1930s reflects a period when Eastern elements were increasingly integrated, lending the buildings an elegant and refined character. Unfortunately, architectural preservation was largely overlooked at the time. Repeated neglect and later expansions gradually reduced this building to little more than a complete facade.
While maintaining the original architectural character, the building has been carefully renovated and restored. Within this historic shell, a contemporary narrative unfolds—dedicated to hot pot and beverages—transforming the interior into a Museum of Food Culture.
